WHAT IS LAWN LIAISON?

Lawn Liaison is the newest social event to hit Newcastle. It’s a few friendly games of lawn bowls with a festival feel. There will be cocktails, tray service, a DJ pumping tunes, prizes to be won and the opportunity to socialise with Newcastle's greatest (that’s all of you!)

DO I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY LAWN BOWLS?

Not at all! We have well seasoned coaches on demand to show us all how to bowl successfully. But the good thing is the game isn’t that hard if your goal is a good time. Lawn Liaison also has its own unique take on the bowls competition structure which you’ll be told about on the day.

DO I NEED MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

Nope. Everything you need to join in the fun comes with the ticket! You are welcome to bring your own bowls to use. Bowling aides can be used, unfortunately at this time Lawn Liaison do not have bowling aides to lend or hire, but please bring your own if needed. 

I WANT TO JOIN IN BUT DONT WANT TO PLAY CAN I STILL COME?

Yes you can! We have a the cheer squad ticket available for spectators who still get to enjoy all the perks of a players ticket without the physical exertion.

DO WE NEED TO COME AS A TEAM?

You can come as a team of 4 or you can come solo. Teams that have less than 4 players will be allocated another player to fill the team. Teams will be created from solo bowlers. This is a great way to meet new people!

I REQUIRE ACCESSABILITY SERVICES CAN I STILL ATTEND?

Yes you can, depending on what you require and where the specific event is held. Please contact us directly for more information.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Ultimately we want you to be comfortable so wear what you feel comfortable in. There are a few rules and requests though: ​

• The greens need to be protected so it’s a strict no heels rule. Flat soled shoes, such as sneakers, joggers, tennis shoes, ballet flats, thongs, flat sandals and bowls shoes, are the only footwear allowed on the greens. If you come in inappropriate footwear you will be playing barefoot.

• Don’t forget sun protection. Being out in the sun all afternoon will require you to protect yourself with some sunscreen and other sun protection techniques.

• Not a rule, but we all want to look good. To get into the vibe of the day we’d love to see you in bowling whites or event specific outfits. There's a prizes for the best dressed!

Lawn Liaison does not tolerate any form of abuse, discrimination, and exclusion. Guests who act inappropriately will be removed from the event without ticket reimbursement.
